It has been a while since I have been on here, I have had a lot going on and so I am glad to be back. Ok here we go, it was the summer of 2007 we were coming home from a trip to Wheeling. Just got off the highway from the 2 hour drive home, stop at McDonald's on the way, then here we pull into the driveway, at home at last. All the kids get out and take the stuff inside. We were driving my 2001 Ford Windstar at the time, I decide that I wanted something from a place down the road (pie, the best pie in the world, no longer being made what a sad world we live in). Anyway I get in the van and go to turn the street and the lower a arm comes loose from the spindle, van falls on the ground right there in the middle of the street. So I call a tow truck and he comes and pulls the van off the street and parks it out back of the house. So next day I take the van apart, lower a arm 2 bolts easy job. As I look at the lower ball joint it looks absolutely fine, no wear, no breaks, nothing just popped out of the spindle and fell on the ground. So I take the bolt out of the spindle that holds the ball joint in to the spindle. Nope it is fine absolutely fine. Check the spindle no cracks nothing. Question how does a piece of steel that is nearly pressed in a hole of another piece of steel just come out when there is a bolt in the way?
So armed with confusion and some basic auto knowledge I go to the Autozone down the road to pick up a new lower a arm. As I am there, showed the guy at the counter the bolt and the a arm. He says there is nothing wrong with either and why do I want to buy new ones. I told him the story about what happened. We measured the old parts to the new ones and no difference. So I bought the new ones and installed them for piece of mind.
Now tell me the next 2 statements are not true. The devil is out to kill, steal and destroy us. Second our God will protect us from harm. See my whole family was in that van that night going 70 MPH down the freeway, alongside other families doing the same. I am very happy that God keeps things under control. aren't you?
