The amazing body of Christ

I have to tell you that in writing the title of this blog I was torn between the two realities. I am writing this because I have seen that the God of all creation (Jesus Christ, Yahweh, Lord of hosts, King of kings) is alive and well. In all other religions there is no loving and caring God that will interact with you on a daily basis and help you through all trials that you have in life, Jesus does this daily and has billions of people that will testify to this. What an amazing part of His body.

That is not the part of this blog that I was having a problem with, the issue is here on earth with human beings, the created ones living together in harmony (right?!). We as created beings have this part of us called the soul, the soul is where your mind, will and emotions reside. this is where everything gets so mixed up. No matter what is going on around us we have opinions about these situations, we also have judgements on things in our surroundings. both of which are good. opinions are things that God gives us the ability to think about one thing or another (best song, favorite color or time of year) etc. judgements are also good they keep us safe in a world where things are changing on a daily basis and where everything is good for a man even though it may be killing him. I judge that cholesterol is bad, it is bad for me, my cholesterol is off the charts and the doctor said I will be dead by the time I am 40 if I don't get it under control (catch 22 here, is i must take medicines that destroy my liver and make me ill among other things). He also said that the sugar and caffeine are bad for me because they give me panic attacks and etc. These judgements on these things are good judgements for me to live the most successful and healthy life I can. God also has judged things that He has deemed unhealthy, unsafe or just vile. These things He puts out there as law, it is His law non-the-less and we don't have to agree but they are still His judgements.

So where are the problems you might ask? Well they stand in the shadows between what God says and what are the opinions of His creatures. What I have seen is that so many times we are out there living life and these opinions, laws, judgements and etc get all jumbled up and start to get interwoven which builds confusion and misunderstanding. That God and His will must be the same as my will; I have seen well meaning brothers and sisters in Christ argue around the same point and both be right. Why are they arguing? well it is not really an argument rather it is a expression of what matters to them the most. unfortunately they are unable to see it from the others point of view. All of creation expresses something given to us by Jesus Christ. We as the fallen creation distort this and and corrupt it into something that does not even resemble what God had meant it to be. But in the right heart of a child of God these become a passion for us and it is deeply tied to our being. This is what makes the body of Christ so amazing that what one person needs is found in another and so it goes around. Together we can minister to this sick and dying world with grace through mercy by faith. But this must be done through the love and compassion of God through Jesus Christ. Bickering about opinions, judgements and facts does none of us any good in the end. Brothers and Sisters I encourage you with this as you go today and encounter a person and their opinion let them have their opinion. If they are passionate about something good and praiseworthy then be happy for them and lift them up. If someone is flat out against God and what He is doing, then pray for them for the wrath that comes upon them (for the devil roams the earth looking for whom he may devour and gods protection is not on them) and it will be swift and they will need you more than ever, be there as a Friend and with a prayer. That is what Jesus would do.
