Smacked by the Reaper.

OK here we go again. are you ready? Well you are going to hear about a huge pet peeve of mine that has been growing in the last several years. The bible says that "you have overcome the world by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony". Why is it that we hardly ever hear these testimonies? The bible says that we should be living a life of abundance and many of you know that the church is not living in abundance, it is more like a spiritual depression. I am not saying that God is not doing things in the church, I am saying we are not enacting faith and growing the faith of others through the experiences we have been living. Why is that? Why is it that we can spend twenty minutes praising God, 15 minutes on announcements, 40 minutes on a ill prepped sermon (I'm a preacher I am allowed to say that), 10 minutes preaching on how we should be tithing, 10 minutes to go and get coffee or snacks, and zero minutes on the testifying of God and His great works.

We are living in a time that the world has puked on the church its expectations and we are sitting here wallowing In it. When we should be getting out of the depression that has seeped into the sanctuary of God and we should be filling it with the greatness of God. Is He great or not? If He is then we should be telling people about it. We should be lining the altars up with the people that need a touch from God and they know He can do it by the testimony of the saints. Why do we send people to the doctor? Because there is no power in the churches. We need to be rebuilding the temple and get rid of the seeker sensitive junk that has made us infected with the politically correct garbage that has come out of the office of hell (wow what a mouth full). I say this, if you don't understand healing, then sit under Christ and let Him teach you. If tongues bothers you because, you don't know the language then let Jesus teach you how to speak it and interpret. If prophecy bothers you, then find out for yourself what God is saying. If you are hurting and you are upset about being alone then get to the altar and let the Lord of all heaven be your friend. If you have sin in your life and you don't now how to deal with it then confess it to the One that will throw it into the deepest ocean. If you are mad because someone died in your family, cry with those who cry and make sure you see them again by giving your life to Christ. But above all things whatever He does, scream it from the highways and byways, letting everyone know what He has done. I think that the sermon should be cut back to fifteen minutes and the rest of the time should be altar and testimonies. Bible teaching is for another night of the week and when I come to church I want the altar open, God present and His power healing me and the masses. Lets stop this "administrative maintenance of the masses" and usher in the King of kings and the only real God of all creation. And yes He has a name and I don't care if your are offended, His name is Jesus Christ. There you have just been smacked by the reaper. Come back and you may get it again. LOL
