where are the miracles?

Well the question that I pose here is a subject that has haunted me for the last 10 years of my life until now. As Christians we see people healed every once in the while and then we hear testimonies from over seas ministries of them happening all the time. As well we just don't see the miraculous in the portions that we have seen them in the past and the book of Acts in the Bible. So what is the answer already you might ask? Well now you are going to embark on a small sermon series that I have no idea how long it will take but should be fun.

So where do we begin? Well we will start at the place where the power of God is seen, in the church. Among His people, that is where God is and where He does many great things for the people that He loves (His children). So where are these things supposed to happen in the church? At the altar. The altar is where the people of God come to exchange the very ugly things about their humanity for the righteous and perfect nature of the Son of God, Jesus Christ. In the Old Testament you may remember the altar, it was a place where the sinner was to bring the spotless lamb and trade the sin for the perfection. The problem was that that was just a temporal solution that was to become permanent and perfect through Jesus Christ. See in essence the altar was the cross and the lamb was the Son of God. So there we have it the simple exchange of humanities sin for the perfect nature of Jesus Christ.

Wow that was easy and simple wasn't it? Well we are not done we have just begun so please come back for the next part of where are the miracles?
